By now you have probably settled down from New Year’s whiplash. The speed at which we are bustling and hustling to end the year on a good note, while scrambling to think of the new goals. I hope that you’ve had a moment to slow down and be present for yourself.
Present enough to really think about what is important to you this year, 2025. What is going to keep you grounded? Where will you spend time to exhale and laugh? Who will you make time for and who will you cut off for your well being? I know that last one was hard to read, but it’s true.
There are many tugs and pulls that we will feel this year. Make sure that you aren’t being pulled apart! Let’s not allow busyness to yank and slay us to dizzying exhaustion. In 2025, I hope that you are committed to creating a space of nourishment and growth.
We don’t know what this year will bring. However, we know that we are still in control of our behaviors and emotions. In the darkest moments of our country, communities and our lives someone in our family made it, our family trees prove it. You are here! Let’s hold on to the promises of our faith, while holding high the lights of our kindness, compassion, fortitude and love. We must rest and reinvigorate, for the sake of our purpose and our positions. Exhaustion not only impacts our bodies and minds, but it also relegates us to the sidelines of life. Sis, don’t wait until your body shuts down to rest. Don’t wait until your mind is weary to rest. Don’t wait until your family is in chaos to rest.
You are strong enough to set boundaries. You are strong enough to say no. You are strong enough to walk in your purpose. You are strong enough to eradicate busyness. You are strong enough to take off the cape and rest.
In this moment of 2025, I pray that you will have energy for your journey…peace for your mind…laughter for your body…and joy in your purpose.
Go Sis and be Strong Enough!
