I hope that you are still having a Happy New Year!
Okay, real talk, are you still keeping up with your resolutions? If the answer, is nope, no worries. I stopped creating resolutions a long time ago. Instead, I select a word for the year. This word helps to ground me and becomes the foundation of my thoughts, actions, behaviors and accountability mantra. I usually take a week to think about what I want to accomplish in my career, personal relationships and for myself. Then, I pray and take a moment to be still to allow my word to surface.
It is much easier to keep track of my word, than so many resolutions. It helps me focus and hold space to determine if my thoughts and actions are aligned with my word of the year.
Drum roll, my word for 2024 is ELEVATE. I want to elevate awareness of my health…my understanding of the new practices in my career…my happiness and joy…and my writing… others that are part of my journey.
I truly believe that each day will bring opportunities for me to conceptualize the process of elevation. Listen, it is not for greed or selfish ambition, but instead, I desire to enhance my life, by elevating my purpose.
